The new Consumer Demand for a “Healthier Home”; and the opportunity for the Home Textiles Industry
Join us on May 31st 1pm EST for a presentation by our CEO Dr John McKeon who will explore the importance of maintaining a ‘healthy home’, how products such as textiles relate to healthy indoor air, and how this impacts on our health.
We look forward to partnering with Home Fashion Products Association in this exciting initiative to mark the end of Asthma and Allergy Awareness month – a month during which we focused very much on supporting our Certification Program clients to ideally position them to raise awareness for those impacted by asthma or allergiesASL’s Asthma & Allergy Friendly® Certification Program is a unique collaboration with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) that assists consumers in identifying products and services that can help to reduce allergens, and in doing so help to improve the indoor environment. This collaboration brings together the expertise of ASL and the iAIR Institute in the science of developing standards for indoor air quality. Becoming Certified is a great step to maximize a company’s benefits to society while keeping focused on creating business and increasing brand value.
Education of our clients and of consumers is at the heart of our Asthma & Allergy Friendly® Certification Program so Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month was a great opportunity to focus completely on our valued clients. As the number of people with asthma and allergies continues to increase so to does demand for trustworthy products, so we want our clients positioned to help in the best possible way.
We are delighted to be joined by one such client, Adam Short from Renegade Brands USA, Inc., to discuss the importance of effective washing of products, clothing and textiles and his view on consumer habits, the health and wellness movement, and the demand for a healthier home environment. He will talk about what is driving the new gold standard in residential and commercial laundry. Renegade Brands SWEAT-X Free and Clear detergent was the first laundry detergent to be Certified Asthma & Allergy Friendly®, followed recently by the newly Certified arbOUR Products Free+Clear laundry detergent .Renegade Brands have enjoyed great success with their Certified product and we were delighted to see them leveraging the certification to showcase their ESG credentials with the wonderful work they do advocating for equality in communities – their donation of Certified Free & Clear Laundry Detergent to charity was featured on FOX 8 News Cleveland.
The webinar will also cover the concept of ‘OneHealth’, a global sustainability movement that is driving both ‘planet friendly’ and ‘people friendly’ innovation. The aim of the movement is to create a #onehealth world, where healthy people live on a healthy planet and is underpinned by education and research. By providing consumers with the information and tools they need to make informed decisions about their indoor environment, we can move one step closer to a ‘OneHealth’ world.
