About The asthma & allergy friendly® Certification
About the Certification
The certification means that product has been independently tested and is proven to be more suitable for individuals with asthma and allergies.
Manufacturers that meet the eligibility criteria can use the certification and the phrase asthma & allergy friendly® in association with approved products (on the products, packaging, collateral, advertising, marketing and more).
We work with a number of Patient Advocacy Groups to run our certification programs across the globe.
In the USA, our partner is the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, the leading national nonprofit organisation fighting asthma and allergic diseases. AAFA provides free information, conducts educational programs, fights for patients’ rights, and funds research to find better treatments and cures.
We have also partnered with Asthma Canada, a nationally registered, voluntary health organisation. Asthma Canada provides information and services to help the 3 million Canadians with asthma, including 600,000 youth, through education, advocacy and support programs.
We Work with Retailers & Manufacturers Across the Globe to Certify Products to Help Consumers Create a Healthy Home

The Science Behind the Certification
The asthma & allergy friendly® Certification Program is not just another unsubstantiated claim or stamp. Products bearing our certification mark have undergone stringent testing to a series of standards developed by our team of medical and healthcare experts. The number of Certification Standards continues to grow in order to encompass a wide range of products, supporting our commitment to the overall concept of allergen avoidance for people with asthma and allergies.
