At Allergy Standards Ltd, we celebrate innovation that prioritizes health and well-being and Tarkett’s recent launch of the Preserved Treasures™ collection is a shining example of this commitment, showcasing how flooring can blend aesthetics, performance, and a focus on indoor air quality.
Designed specifically for life-plan communities, the Preserved Treasures™ collection includes a Powerbond® hybrid option, which is certified by the Asthma & Allergy Friendly® Certification Program. This certification signifies that the flooring not only meets rigorous standards for minimizing allergens and irritants but also supports healthier indoor air quality—a crucial factor for residents.
The Powerbond® technology offers a unique solution with its welded wall-to-wall moisture barrier to prevent mildew and mold and making it ideal for spaces that accommodate pets and service animals. It is a hybrid resilient flooring, meaning it combines the look and feel of carpet with the durability and cleanability of resilient flooring. Furthermore, its low pile height means that dust and allergen can be easily removed. In testing, 95 percent of allergens were removed effectively with simple dry vacuuming. This feature is particularly beneficial for life-plan communities, where the comfort and well-being of vulnerable residents is paramount.
Tarkett is setting a new standard for flooring in communal living spaces, making choices that benefit both the environment and the health of individuals. We are very proud of our certified partner for redefining flooring for our life-plan communities, ensuring elegance, endurance, and a healthier living environment.
