Allergy Standards’ CEO, Dr John McKeon, will be delivering 2 sessions at the Tarkett Education lab with Roxane Spears (VP of Sustainability North America at Tarkett) and our partner Karen Righthand (SCS Global Services). These CE credited sessions will highlight “Indoor Air Quality Issues and asthma & allergy friendly® Certification for Manufacturers and Specifiers”.
The key objectives are to:
- Learn about the overall health impacts of VOCs and TVOCs and how exposure can impact occupants’ overall health.
- Understand why it is important to address beyond merely tracking how and which products contribute to a building’s environment.
- Learn about the scientific process, standards, and best practices associated with low VOC building materials within the context of reducing allergens and irritants that can trigger asthma symptoms.
- Learn about the asthma & allergy friendly® Certification standards and how manufacturers are utilizing them to create better products.
In parallel Allergy Standards will also be hosting a mastermind event facilitating networking between asthma & allergy friendly® Certified clients and partners of the Certification Program.
“Greenbuild is a great opportunity for Allergy Standards to reinforce how our science is leading the way in healthier Certified building materials. It is an honour to be working with clients such as Tarkett to highlight how they and others like them are working to create a healthier and sustainable indoor environment” said Dr. McKeon.
