This is an exciting opportunity to join a scaling, digital health and innovation company.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to expand our Certification Program and Business Services sales, to successfully manage sales with our key customers, and to expand business opportunities to new customers and sectors.
This role involves active business development. It is best suited to someone who has demonstrable experience in and a passion for consultative selling, is a hands-on self-starter with great initiative, and able to build on the existing foundations paved by the wider commercial team.
What you can expect

- To closely monitor competitor activity and developments in the sector.
- To work with our marketing, science, operations and strategy teams to refine and develop our key offerings, and supporting data and promotional materials.
- To develop new innovative approaches and strategies to grow year-on-year revenue.
- To professionally and enthusiastically represent the company at promotional and industry events and to meet with prospects and client companies internationally.
- Provide direction and educated insight in the handling of complex sales and business development deals, working collaboratively with the Finance, Sales, and Demand Generation teams.
- A critical part of the role is the day-to-day management of sales and business development, which includes prescribing the daily and weekly schedules, and daily and monthly reporting of both activity and outcomes.
- Work with internal teams to manage and executive outbound sales campaigns that meet lead generation and pipeline-build goals. Maintaining a schedule of campaigns that drive leads is an essential and valuable part of this role.
- Responsible for the amount and the quality of data available to the business development unit. This includes adding relevant data, data enhancement, and providing this to the team to progress the sales process.
- Messaging: The Sales & Business Development Manager is expected to make a significant contribution to developing and communicating the value proposition and key messaging.
- Senior Reporting: Provide the Senior Leadership Team and the wider team with weekly and monthly reporting of outcomes, KPIs, progress / challenges.

What we require
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications, with experience in Sales, and Business Development, or other relevant field.
- 3 or more years of proven experience in consultative selling and business development.
- Proven Sales and Business Development capability and track record.
- Fluency in the modern sales tech stack.
- Demonstrated experience of selling high-value contracts involving multiple decision makers.
- Proven track record of self-motivation, generating new business, and exceeding targets.
- We expect you to be a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.
- You enjoy and understand the benefits of successful process completion to the highest standard.
- You will secure strong relationships with our new and existing clients to build brand awareness, be a part of effectively scaling our business, and achieve revenue goals through strong sales acumen and building quality relationships.

- Excellent communicator, able to collaborate with internal Business Development, and build rapport with our customers and partners.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience of business development in a science and/or educational context would be advantageous.
- Good initiative – eager to contribute to an innovative team in a fast-moving, growing company.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to coach, to be coached, to influence, and partner with various levels of employees, with high integrity.
- High capacity for judgment, strong organizational skills, and a sense of urgency.
- Attention to detail and the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
- You will need to build and maintain a sales pipeline that guarantees the delivery of the monthly target. This is a critical requirement of the role.
