The asthma & allergy friendly™ Certification Program helps individuals with asthma and allergies recognize products that are more suitable for their home environment.

Many consumers already have some awareness of the importance of allergen reduction and avoidance when they are making a purchase for their home. Consumers often rely on information displayed on packaging to guide their purchase choice and there are many products making suitability claims for individuals with asthma and allergy.

Many of these claims are based on a manufacturer’s own testing and market research indicates that consumers are wary of such claims. This is not to say that many of these claims are not valid and true but without independent, third party testing there will always be an element of scepticism behind the validity of such claims.

By creating the asthma & allergy friendly™ Certification Program, ASL is determined to fulfill this information gap for consumers. Our scientifically designed testing protocols and rigorously enforced testing procedures ensure consumers that asthma & allergy friendly™ Certified Products have met criteria to be deemed more suitable for asthmatics and their families.
