ASL is seeking an individual to perform the necessary research and development required to develop new standards, continuously update existing standards, accreditation and audit policy and also act as liaison with our partner patient organisations for standards review.

While working with the ASL laboratory the position will involve interaction with a range of external laboratories and research groups. Intellectual Property management with patent applications and certification trade marks will fall within the individuals remit. Working with the Technical Manager on project management of certification testing will also be required.

The Scientific Officer will report directly toe ASL's physician lead Medical Certification Board.

The successful candidate would preferably have a life sciences degree; higher training, publications and industry experience. Personal motivation and team working ability are absolutely essential.
